Rachel & Johnny Raheen House

Wedding at Raheen House

Was exciting to take a trip to Tipperary for the lovely Rachel and Johnny Wedding at Raheen House. The pair of them set eyes on each other in Geoffs pub in Waterford in 2015 and it wasn’t long before a trip to Malin Head with the wind nearly blowing them away, Johnny proposed. And as Rachel said herself, they just love roaring laughing at each other each day. So it wasn’t hard to say yes!

A wedding at Raheen House is a beautiful backdrop; with courtyards, trees, ferns, marquees, cosy pub and rooms. A really nice place to have an intimate wedding in Tipperary. The pair of them enjoyed getting ready there with family all around and a treat to just walk down the stairs to make that magical trip down the red carpet to see Johnny.

The lovely Dave Russell from Ceremonies for All reminded them both “they sing a song that only they can hear” A real blessing. And so lovely to see them exchange their vows at Raheen House.

Once the wedding ceremony at Raheen House was finished. It was time for all the guests to kick back in the gardens, enjoy some drinks and music, while we guys got stuck into some fun pictures around the grounds at Raheen House. There was no need to ask them to smile, they were beaming from ear to ear all day. The families were great fun and seemed to get a buzz out of “family photo time”. Rachel joked with me when I asked her to climb in under trees for one or two photos saying “she trusted me” as she dragged her train behind her!

The day just flew and before we all knew it, time for speeches and with the weather being warm, the guests were able to sit out in the garden with music speakers and just kick back and really relax. Rachel and Johnny had a quick twirl at the front of Raheen House before we left for our trip back to Dublin. And on our journey back, we had fun singing that song: Its a long way to Tipperary. But so worth it, to see these lovely two humans seal their love among family and friends. So happy to experience a wedding at Raheen House.
