There is quite a lot of tradition associated with weddings which makes it a very special day. They say the reason behind tying tin cans on the car was to ward away evil spirits from the newleyweds and I thought it was just to draw as much attention to them as possible!!!
The brides are getting very funky with the shoes these days – just waiting for the grooms to do the same, but I think I will be waiting!
This photo is from a wedding in February at Mount Wolseley in Carlow. The bright sparkly Judy Garland shoes made up for the dull day. Even the page boys got in on the act and wore red converse!
Since most of you looking at my website are probably in a relationship, I thought you would get a laugh at this cartoon! Hope you all had a super Valentines Day!
Cant believe 2011 is over! We have a busy wedding season starting this month for the whole year. Really looking forward to getting back to shooting weddings after the quiet month of January! Need to see the 2012 wedding dresses!!!!
Cant wait for next week, Santa is making a late delivery of a super duper new camera which will have our computers churning with the high resolution files. All the better for all my new brides. Can’t wait to take it out of the box. All shiny and new!!!!
Its never too early to start planning your wedding – So I’ve learnt from my two nieces aged 11 and 14. They are scapbooking their plans for the big day, don’t think they have factored in the groom yet into this. But, hey the plans for the dresses, rings and venue are already in place.
Couple Photography have teamed up with Edithouse Videographers for the Citywest Bridal Show this weekend starting 13th – 15th January under TAKE-TWO Video and Photography. So get those shoes polished up, and take a trip out to see our stand.
We were doing a lot of weddings over Christmas and hadnt a minute but I just loved hearing about Donna’s Grandmother from my wedding on 30th December, a small wedding, only a mere 300 guests!!!!
Donna’s Grandmother unfortunately now deceased, was told once at another wedding her outfit was lovely, she quickly responded back “darling, its not the clothes, but the peg its hanging on”
How smart this that!
Happy New Year to one and all
Wow got a lovely thank you yesterday and had to share it with you, made me feel all yummy inside and makes it all worth being a wedding photographer!
Enjoyed my wedding at Carton House this weekend. The couple had the whole wedding including the ceremony at Carton House which makes it very handy for everyone.
I have to point out the music, most of the time I am so busy concentraing on taking candid photos that I dont hear the choice of music. But, I could not but help notice their choice of song for when Lorraine & Shane were signing the important papers

Very Clever Guys, you go to the top of the class!!!!
We all want our Laboutin shoes for our wedding day but why not also consider a pair of wacky wellington boots! Your photographer will love you – you wont have the “Am stuck in the grass” look on your face which can help with the photos. You can slip them on for 10 minutes to get some more action packed shots and use them as a prop for your photos. Buy Irish if you can and check out www.wellies.ie but I found these colourful parrot motif wellies at www.wellywarehouse.co.uk. We will be using them for an upcoming wedding shoot by a lake! Made sure I got my size so I can use them after the photoshoot, there’s forward planning!!!!
