Layla and Kian had met me at a Dublin city centre wedding for their friends and asked me to shoot their fun wedding at Palmerstown House. She told me she wanted someone fun, energetic, easy going and not old school. So was delighted she felt I had those attributes….
With covid’s many ups and downs along the way, they got there and went ahead with their fun wedding at Palmerstown wedding at Palmerstown House Layla and the girls had a whole floor for themselves at Palmerstown Golf Club to get ready, even enough room for some piggy back rides and loads of overnight cases! The only thing they seemed to have left behind from home was the family dog Django.
Layla moved over to the main house to put on her wedding dress and plan her descent down to Kian for the ceremony. We spotted this canvas painting in the golf club when Layla was getting ready and thought it be super cool to have a bridal portrait with it. The only thing was Layla was putting her dress on in the main house. So Palmerstown House agreed to bring it over to the house specially. They said that was a first! We headed out around the grounds of Palmerstown House for some wedding photos in Kildare. It had got pretty windy so Kian was a true gentleman and kept her tresses at bay. The newleyweds were keen to to get back to the wedding guests and enjoy the buzz and chat in the entrance hall. Then it was time for speeches at the end of the staircase and Layla at her fun wedding at Palmerstown House couldn’t resist the traditional throwing the bouquet into the crowd. Layla and Kian said they enjoy keeping fit so seemed appropriate that Layla changed from her wedding shoes into a comfy and fun pair of white converse, all the easier to move about in for the evening. We left them to enjoy their meal. Just as well the bridal party were kept together in one room, no complaints by anyone over keeping the noise level down!
