Introducing a wedding at Clonabreany House

This wedding may not have happened if Susie’s mum Mary – while in a Woodies carpark – did not persuade her to go on the date with Gary.

With both of them knowing each other since teenagers and even having a connection where they both attended each others previous weddings. It took a funeral 13 years later for both of them to take the initiative to catch up again.   11 years together and they planned a wedding day to encompass their lovely kids, Caitlin, Rachel and Mark.  With the stress of organising a covid wedding at Clonabreany House, the most important thing to Susie was that her mum could attend the ceremony as Mary was recuperating in the Royal Hospital in Donnybrook.  So it mean’t the world that she was able to attend the ceremony and be a part of the family photos. On a footnote, she is an amazing lady……

The ceremony took place on the grounds of Clonabreany House and even the cows mooed  I DO during the ceremony much to the joy of Billy Hutchinson officiating the ceremony.  There were some great fun moments during the ceremony which had everyone laughing.  Once the ceremony at Clonabreany House  was over, we started into our family photos so that we could use the time for Susie and Gary to walk the grounds of Clonabreany House for some couple photos.

The woodland at Clonabreany House, the stone bridge and and the little lake make for a beautiful green and lush backdrop.  With a wedding at Clonabreany House, you are spoilt for choice, with the old house, the courtyard and even the shibin.  Susie and Gary joked they weren’t used to so many photos – so we let them get back to chatting to their guests in the lovely marquee before speeches and some social distancing dancing.

Susie and Gary had hoped to get to Hong Kong and Vietnam but due to Covid, their honeymoon staycation is the Wild Atlantic Way!  No better place.  To see more photos from a wedding at Clonabreany House click here.
