Introducing a summer wedding at Keadeen Hotel for the fab Aoife & Ronan
These two lovebirds met when they were just sweet sixteen! Ronan was not put off by Aoife’s “ringtones on her phone and controversial footwear” Ronan popped the question on a romantic horseback trail in Carlingford. They wanted a summer wedding at Keadeen Hotel. They had attended a wedding there before and loved the homely feel, beautiful gardens and delicious food. So the pair of them got ready at the Keadeen Hotel on the morning of the wedding.
It was lovely to catch up with Lorraine and Shane, Ronan’s sister who we had previously photographed on their wedding day. A big congrats to them on their gorgeous kids Lucy and Finn. We loved the colour theme of baby pink and mint green. And of course Aoife’s lovely wedding dress from Belle Mariée. The boys busied themselves with putting ribbons on the car but managed to enjoy their personalised bottle of beer beforehand.
Aoife and Ronan chose the The church of the most holy trinity in Allenwood. Fr John Nally who knows them well performed the ceremony. He told us about the kids when asked the question “What Does Love Mean?”. Some of the answers were fab, including “Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your chips without making them give you any of theirs” Or, “Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it every day“.
The bubbles that were left out came to good use when Aoife and Ronan came down the aisle to “I love You always for Ever by Donna Lewis. With the sun shining outside the church, the guests stayed a long time mingling and chatting. We loved the cherry trees just in the carpark of church and took the opportunity to photograph the bridal party with them. Then, we headed back for our summer wedding at the Keadeen Hotel.
The day just flew and we managed to get a few quick photos of them in the stunning gardens along with our videographer Niall from Beginnings Film. at the Keadeen hotel and head in to see the cake that Aoife’s aunty made, not to mention the personalised chocolate bars. Some of the bridesmaids were caught eating canapes in the foreground as we were shooting our lovely couple in the grounds of Keadeen Hotel. We then started taking some friends and family photos before it was time to head into dinner. We left them to enjoy their nighttime party, dancing to The Pat Fitz Wedding band. I hear they are off to South Africa on honeymoon before coming back to their new life as Mr & Mrs.
