Introducing A Rathsallagh House Reportage Wedding for Anita & Eoin
As Anita & Eoin said on their wedding booklet, “how do you spell love? you don’t spell it, you feel it”. Well, these guys were young enough to hardly spell it. When they met, Eoin was only a nipper at 15 and Anita 16. They lived on opposite roads of the same estate. Anita fell in love with Eoin’s escaped convict haircut, I am told. With Eoin popping the question with a €3.00 Claires Accessories plastic ring, Anita still said yes. But did get to buy her real engagement ring in New York City’s diamond district. To seal the deal, they decided to have a Rathsallagh House Reportage Wedding. Anita had been there with her parents for afternoon walks and brunch and just loved it. She loved the friendliness of all the staff. Anita chose a stunning Truly Bridal dress with bridesmaids in navy and Eoin got his sharp suit in Richie Whelans, both local in Naas. With stunning flowers from Brett’s Florists in Naas. Anita’s dad Jim also stole the show in his impeccable fireman’s uniform. Once all were suited and booted, they headed off to the oh-so-cute Our Lady of the Guardian Angels Church in Sallins, a tin chapel which they had drawn as part of their fabulous invitations. We even tried to replicate the drawing later in a photograph. I had spent the whole morning asking Anita not to forget her hipster glasses she usually wears! With drizzling weather, once the piper had finished his tune, we were on the road to start our Rathsallagh House Reportage Wedding. The pair of them arrived in style under the archway in their Beaufort Saphire from AT&T Chauffeurs. And with such fabulous spring daffodils, and the weather improving, we enjoyed taking family photos on the lawn. With plenty of canapes and drinks for everyone to enjoy. The craic was mighty with Tony from Dream Day Productions telling the odd joke, and odd they were!…Only kidding Tony, you have the gift of the gab.
And despite Anita & Eoin joking about their inability to look romantic and connected together, we got some nice coupley photos and headed back to see the Pavillion Room, a stunning backdrop for a Rathsallagh House Reportage Wedding. Drink seemed to be a big theme on the tables, with some tasty Listowel Whiskey and Dingle Gin for guests to enjoy during the speeches. And if still hungry, a 3 tiered wedding cake by the Cake Fairy in Listowel and a sweet candy cart. We even had time to ask all the guests to pop outside for a group photo before we left them to enjoy their hearty dinner and dance away to Perfect Day. The pair of them are then heading off for two weeks in South Africa, with another week in Mauritius in five star luxury. Just to make you all jealous…… For more photos from Rathsallagh weddings, click here.
