A fairytale Kilkea Castle Wedding for Eimear and Paul
Eimear and Paul chose a Kilkea castle wedding celebration. Choosing the castle for their wedding was not surprising, Eimear told me from their first date, Paul was and still is the perfect gentleman and treats her like a princess.
Eimear is one very organised gal, and the morning at Kilkea Castle went very smoothly while the lads got ready at Mount Wolseley. Her dress was stunning, with beautiful embroidery and beading from Bow Bridal in Dublin while Paul got his suit in Tony Connolly’s in Limerick. The day started out beautifully dark and dewy and then transformed into a hot sunny day just in time for Eimear to leave for the church. The lads popped over the road for a quick pint of Guinness and few headers outside the local toy shop before the ceremony but made it back in time for Eimear’s arrival.
After the ceremony we took our family photos and managed to find a gorgeous cornfield on the way to Kilkea for some sun kissed photos.
It was an action packed day with doughnuts to be eaten, live music, prosecco to be drunk and friends gathering for some photos in the sunshine. It was like a summers day and the guests chilled in the garden while we took some more photos around the grounds.
After the speeches, their magician wowed guests with card tricks and even fire! Later on, Eimear and Paul were totally cool and came out to the darkness for a nighttime castle shot. I think they actually enjoyed the late night stroll together – a chance to chat together and take everything in before heading back to boogie the night away among their friends and family.
This pair don’t do things in halves, and have two honeymoons planned; one mini moon to Greece and then another at Christmas. A great end to a busy year.
