Melissa and Tom,our stunning wedding couple had an unofficial theme of Peaky Blinders instigated by Tom with the tweed suits and pocket watches for the guys. The girls were so glamourous with a colour scheme that was a warm seasonal berry and rustic green. Anna and myself felt we we were on the Peaky Blinders set!
We travelled up to Mount Wolseley where Melissa and Tom were getting ready. Melissa sat getting her hair and make-up done in the beautiful archway window. We loved the bridesmaids warm berry dresses from Folkster and Melissa’s stunning gown from Embrace Bridal in Gorey. The boys enjoyed having a few photographs in the bar in their tweed suits from Magee 1866 before heading to Ballinkillen Church in Carlow. Melissa surprised Tom with a horse for him at the church. It seemed a little excitable so noone was prepared to jump up on its back for a ride! The music was amazing at the ceremony with Gerry Cunningham playing contemporary acoustics ranging from Jose Gonzales, to Kodaline. The Park Singers choir from Dublin together with Tom’s sister performed some classical songs too. It was a very crisp cold sunny day and when we arrived back at Mount Wolseley, Melissa and Tom were good sports and got into the golf cart to go to the golf course and lake for some sunset photos. Well worth braving the cold for…..
After a heat up in the hotel, it was time for some family shots and of course a photo on the Mount Wolseley staircase. The nightime turned into a great party with the band Kif from Galway. An Irish dancing demo, and even a DJ David from Premier DJs who got a full blown rave happening. Let’s hope the couple got to relax and unwind on their honeymoon in Cancun.
