Ashley met David over 9 years ago and had their first date at Ashbourne House on a scorching Friday evening. Their relationship blossomed and along came the lovely Isabelle. David had planned to propose on a Saturday morning, the plan was to come up to the bedroom with Isabelle, but Ashley foiled his plans and got up to clean the house and went out for a grocery shop!! So when she returned, he had the ring and the bottle of champagne on the table in waiting. They celebrated with dinner and cocktails in the Marker hotel.
On the run up to the wedding, the cute Jack came along. Ashley told me, in-between feeds and nappy changes, she was trying to do some power walking!
The celebrations were planned for the amazing Ballymagarvey Village. The morning preparations were relaxed and full of laughter with little Isabelle getting a lovely bracelet from Daddy, but Ashley wasn’t left out with her designer handbag!
Their ceremony wasn’t too far away at St Brigid’s church in Kilbride with the talented Lucy Kavanagh singing. The guests loved that there was a little local pub opposite.
Ashley and David had gone to a lot of trouble decorating the conservatory at Ballymagarvey with polaroid photos of friends and family and cute vintage teacups and flowers. In the amazing dining room, Ashley & David’s initials were up in lights, which topped off the flowers and fairy lights, making it a dreamy setting for the rest of their evening. They had loads of little touches like flower place names, a suitcase for cards and large helium balloons for some fun photos.
Outside in the gardens, along with Cathal Farrelly video, we followed the sunlight! It was so pretty among the trees on the driveway, leading up to the main house while guests chatted under the clear blue sky. We got some lovely wedding family photos in the courtyard along with some shots of their pals before it was time to kick back and enjoy chatting to their guests.
They have two honeymoons to look forward to! They head to Italy together, then fly home to pick up Isabelle and Jack to go on their family-moon to Portugal. The best of both worlds!
