Jenny and Mark said Ireland would be a great place to live “if they just put a roof on it”. But, Jenny and Mark, now living in London couldn’t complain for their wedding day in Druids Glen. It was one of the hottest days of the year, that even the vintage wedding car was nearly overheating!!!!
Jenny and Mark met over 15 years ago at school. Their first date was to the cinema to see The Last Samurai, they said they talked the whole way through it. Mark asked Jenny to marry him in New York. They now have 2 fabulous kids Ella and Lottie. Jenny and her 2 kids along with her bridesmaids got ready at Druids Glen while Mark got ready nearby at the Ashford Self Catering Cottages.
The ceremony was held at the nearby picturesque church in Kilquade. Jenny and her dad had an action packed morning looking for jump leads to make sure the wedding car got her there. So we love the photo of the two of them sitting in the back of the wedding car! They had a gospel choir up on the balcony, singing great songs like Oh Happy Day, and Ain’t no Mountain High Enough. After the ceremony, we travelled over to the entrance of the golf Club at Druids Glen. There was great shade under the trees and as Jenny and Mark told me they “don’t do public shows of affection”, we were able to get some more intimate shots for them together with noone else around.
We took more wedding photos at Druids Glen. We travelled down in the golf buggy to the bridge and also had a sneak peek at the wedding cake with a chocolate biscuit bottom, lemon on top and salted caramel in the middle. This was the part of the wedding Ella was most excited about! At the speeches, the Bestman challenged Jenny to do her party trick from 10 years ago of downing a pint in one. Which she did with ease. Very impressive. We left them to dance the night away to the Rubix band.
