Annie hooked up with Risteárd on a student night out. Being a proud owner of a Gold Card from Copper Face Jacks, she brought Risteárd for a few drinks after a Saw Doctor concert in UCD. After seven years together, they got engaged and told noone until 6 months later! Annie designed the ring herself and got it in Dubai. They chose Summerhill House Hotel for their wedding celebrations. The venue suited their style of wedding.

Annie was keen to get ready at her childhood home, a picturesque farm in Portlaoise. The house is surrounded by cows, chickens, dogs and a buzz of family life. The stove had homemade soup simmering all morning. The bridesmaids Elaine and Theresa were game for anything and were out among the cattle sheds and sileage pits for a few snaps. Annie is very organised and sent us on our travels to Summerhill where Annie planned to put on the dress before heading to the adorable ‘Blue Church’ in Kilternan. She just didn’t want to spend a long journey in her dress – and it made brilliant sense.

We were blown away by the stunning wedding dress that Annie had chosen from Folkster, she  designed herself the stunning belt to accessorise it.  She certainly has an eye for detail.  The lads Risteárd, Brendan and Jody looked very smart in their check suits.  I was very impressed that Annie was not late for her ceremony at the stunning Our Lady of the Wayside church.  She pulled up in her Beauford bang on time.  Fr Willie Hennessy performed the ceremony and all the guests enjoyed mingling outside in the sunshine afterwards.Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding Lady of the Wayside in Glenmalure wedding

We took the time to get some family shots especially with the cute nephews and nieces before heading to Enniskerry Village.  The newleyweds had some photos in the busy village by the clock tower and Guinness gate. before we headed to Summerhill.  They abandoned the car in the driveway and got out again for some photos by the pergola and in the woodland.  They walked up to the entrance of Summerhill and greeted their guests.

All the guests were enjoying the party atmosphere; sunshine, great music by Manilla Strings and glasses of prosecco.  Manilla Strings even came into the main room before the speeches and had all the crowd jamming with them.  The speeches got underway and we heard some great stories including Brendan, the bestman who felt his biggest task of the day was to get Risteárd to the barber shop that morning for a haircut!  I am sure the day flew by and they weren’t long before they were up on the dancefloor.  They plan to honeymoon in Orlando and Miami with a Caribbean cruise.  No cows and chickens to be seen on that holiday!
