How could Louise not fall for Sam? They met on a blind date through Louise’s brother. Louise told me she fell for “Sam’s lovely brown eyes and eyelashes and felt they were wasted on a boy”! While Sam really liked Louise’s leopard print heels.

They got engaged on New Years Eve 2015. Sam decorated the apartment with tealights and rose petals and played their favourite song from the Phantom of the Opera as Louise came through the door. She said yes – how could you say no to someone who goes to the trouble of making your porridge every morning before work?
Louise and Sam decided on the stunning Cliff at Lyons to celebrate their wedding. I headed off that morning to shoot the girls locally in Mount Merrion while Anna paid a visit to their own apartment only up the road from my house to document the lads. We had a really relaxed morning photographing – I was very excited to meet Friday – the family’s yellow budgie.

The bridesmaids looked stunning in navy and pale pink. Her wedding dress was by Ciara Bridal in the Powerscourt Centre. It was a nice touch that Louise wore her sister’s Suzy’s veil who only got married last year in Kerry.

Louise chose St Therese, Mount Merrion church where her mum and dad Brian and Mary had got married in themselves. It looked so pretty with all the cherry trees in full blossom. Louise’s uncle drove her to the church. After the ceremony, we couldn’t resist taking some photos by the beautiful trees before heading to do some wedding photos at the Cliff at Lyons.

In the glorious sunshine, we strolled around the grounds, admiring the fountain, vegetable garden, fairytree and of course not forgetting the white doves. We didn’t spend too long as my newlyweds wanted to get back to the party. They enjoyed chatting to friends while enjoying the live music. We managed to locate the every straying family and get some family shots with the backdrop of the lovely conservatory. Then, we gathered everyone from the wedding for one last parting group shot. Off they all went, to enjoy an evening of fine dining and dancing. Hopefully, Louise and Sam didn’t miss their flight for a short minimoon in Vienna with another holiday in USA and Canada planned for July.
