Grace found her own superhero in Karl! After being together a year and a half, Karl proposed to Grace under a setting sun in the sand dunes of Wexford Beach! Grace says she couldn’t ask for a better man in her life, as he would do anything for her and the kids Luke and Shay. The pair of them wanted to marry in picture perfect Wicklow and chose Tulfarris in Blessington. Grace arrived with all her family and bridesmaids in a cool vintage bus. They chose a civil ceremony at Tulfarris. It was very eventful with the wedding rings been passed around to all the guests, a handfasting ceremony and sand pouring ceremony. So cute, that the musicians had played on their first date and were there again today to play for them. Afterwards, all the guests headed outside under the balcony for a large group wedding photo!
The bridal party were great craic- rather than just stand still and pose for the camera, they were dancing away in the room by the big bay window. It was fab to see the bridesmaids floral dresses swirling in the air! Grace and Karl took a trip out to see the sunset over the lake and have a photo by the big tree before heading back to warm themselves up again in the old house.
In the reception room, Karl went to a lot of trouble and made the wooden centerpieces himself. It really helped with the natural, earthy, timber theme to the day. Grace and Karl admitted that the superhero cake wasn’t just for the kids!!!!Grace made all the hangover packs which were on the tables. The wedding rings deserved a photo, being made from Karl’s previous ring, given to him by his father and Grace’s ring coming from her grandmother. So very special.
The evening entertainment was being supplied by Pump up the Jam, and they were planning a hog roast for the next day, with the family all topping it off with a trip to Disneyland Paris.
