Lynn and Pauric are now living in Australia but met about 16 years ago when Pauric saw Lynn in a school musical in Offaly, and later met up in a local disco!
Pauric proposed on Whitehaven Beach at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Lynn said it was the nicest place she has ever visited. The ring was put on Lynns finger that day eventhough James, the Bestman had left it in a taxi in a bag the day before!
Lynn got ready at her parents house in Edenderry, Co Offaly. The morning preparations were all great fun and Milly their daughter was in top form. We got out for some shots down the end of the garden with her which was nice.
We left a little bit earlier to catch a few wedding photographs of the lads at the church before the ceremony. Fr Ray Nolan, Lynn’s cousin was officiating and he joked that he had a bet on for a tenner for every wedding that the bride would be more than 15 minutes late, and he said he has never ever lost that bet! Lynn didn’t arrive much later than that and the ceremony went so fast. In a blink of an eye, we were back outside in the sunshine and they were married. Lynn had to have her photo taken in her wedding dress at steps near the church as she told me all their family photos over the years have been taken there, from christenings, communions, etc.
The guests went to a local pub for soup and sandwiches while we left with the bridal party and travelled through the Kidlare bog straight back to the Keadeen Hotel. This gave us a chance to do a few photos before the party really got started. The grounds are stunning at the Keadeen Hotel, and we shot with all the colourful flowers and Pauric insisted on a photo in front of the Irish flag at the door.
The cake was made by a friend from Tastybake.ie and Lynn suprised Pauric with a personalised cake topper made from clay by Caketoppers.ie Max, their cocker spaniel was also on top of the cake. Lynn and Pauric would have loved Max to be there but unfortunately Max was in kennels in Sydney.
Lynn told me that her sister had got married at the Keadeen as well, and it was nice to be back there again for her own wedding.
The party was sure to rock later that night with The Good Guys band there.
