Its official, you can try great cocktails at Captain Americas and find your true love! Laura and Moe first saw each other there and ever since their first date have been inseparable!

Moe popped the question to Laura at the fabulous Trevi fountain in Rome while they were over to hear their favourite band The National. Laura and Moe chose the stunning Brooklodge Hotel for their whole day. They both stayed the night before and got ready there that morning. Moe had warned me that Laura doesn’t believe in wardrobes or hangars and has perfected the art of the floordrobe! But it was ok, Laura had managed to hang up her beautiful dress which made for a lovely photo by the window looking out on the back gardens of Brooklodge.

Anna made sure to capture Moe’s cufflinks, one bearing the Irish flag and the other, the Libyan flag.

Laura and Moe chose a spiritualist ceremony in the quaint chapel on the grounds of Brooklodge. The ceremony was very personal as they were able to customise it to reflect what is important to them. We loved the handfastening ceremony when the celebrant tied their hands together with colourful ribbons. The colour theme for the day was mint green with purple and pale pink flowers. It really offset the soft colours of the flowers on the bridge over to the chapel. The flowers were by Blossom Hill in Aughrim. After the ceremony, all the wedding guests gathered together and Laura threw her bouquet into the crowd.

We then captured some family shots with the backdrop of the hotel and headed with the bridal party down by the stream. It was then time for a well deserved break for them. so they all sat down and had a drink outside by the little pub, and shared some quality time with the chickens, ducks and geese that wander happily around the hotel.

Back at Brookhall, we went into the reception room to check out the yummy cake made by Plur Cakes. A three tiered ivory fondant cake with orange, baileys, and vanilla layer with berry coulis. Laura and Moe enjoyed chatting to their guests and capturing a few fun photos with their friends. We fell in love with the grandparents, they were just so cute! Guests had a chance to use a polaroid camera and put their photos in a guest book along with a little message. A nice touch, that Laura and Moe can look back on years to come.

Laura and Moe told me they are off on honeymoon to Sorrento in Italy. I was near there to shoot a wedding last year and it is fabulous, so I know they won’t be disappointed.
