Caroline & Gavin finally tied the knot after 4 years together. Gavin popped the question last July in front of all their friends and family during a BBQ where they were celebrating Caroline’s parents 39th wedding anniversary!
On the day they were so lucky, the sun was shining as we arrived at Caroline’s to photograph her getting ready. Anna had a nice stroll through the park to get to Gavin, little Alex and the rest of the boys who were less that 5 mins away in The Yellow House Bar calming the aul nerves!
Both Caroline & Gavin had said that the ceremony was the most important part of the day & it went off without a hitch. Alex got a little bit sleepy but he perked up towards the end..I think he was looking forward to playing some rugby at the famous Carton House, where the Ireland team do their training!
Before we went in to greet their guests Caroline & Gavin braved the wind & we got some epic (if we do say so ourselves!) shots of them in the driveway, with the main house behind them. Caroline was well able to to scurry up a steep hill for a silhouette shot with one of Cartons beautiful old trees. Inside we photographed the guests enjoying the day & the lads came up with the most inventive way to show off their coloured socks!
Caroline & Gavin both wanted to day to be relaxing & for everyone to just enjoy themselves & that’s exactly what they got! Alex was showing off his talents playing rugby with the lads who were trying to keep up with him.
The cake from ‘Bake My Cake’ Dundrum was beautiful, very elegant & understated and looked too nice to eat! The colour theme for the wedding was Ivory and Silver (with a little pink thrown in) the colours fit so perfectly with Carton House’ elegant setting. We managed to clear the Gold Salon for a a shot with the Bride & Groom & include some of that amazing ceiling stucco artwork. Then we left them to dance the night away to the Bently Boys!
