They say you often meet your partner at work and this is what happened for Lisa and Declan. Both of them are teachers in the same school and even though Lisa says he didn’t speak to her for the first three months, it didn’t stop them from getting engaged on a holiday in Seville.

On the wedding day, we enjoyed the scenic drive to Castletown. We arrived a little early to check out the cute country church which was located really close to the Golden Anchor Pub. And saw the amazing mountain views and the crazy rushes at the back of the church. We knew we had to bring them around there for some quirky shots.

Lisa parents live right beside the sea, how lucky are they, so we planned to come back that way after the ceremony. At the house, it was all really relaxed and enjoyable with everyone eating a hearty breakfast and even her dog was enjoying the buzz, sitting on Lisa’s knee while make-up was being applied. The only bit of drama was when poor Lisa only had her dress on, when she got some lipstick on it, so bridesmaids got to work. It didn’t come off with a babywipe, so the next step was to paint it white with white nail varnish.

Lisa didn’t let that upset her and got to the church on time and married Declan! Afterwards, we did the family shots outside the church to make it easier and then we headed off with a beach ball and the bridal party to their beach. Once we had a few fun photos, we followed the amazing vintage jaguar owned by Lisa’s uncle back to the Anchor Pub.

It was great fun with everyone watching Ireland beat Scotland while drinking a few pints! We just did candids and enjoyed the atmosphere. By 5.30 pm, it was time to drive to the Riverbank Hotel for the next stage of the wedding. Once we got there, we photographed loads of their friends and got to see the Chocolate fudge cake that their neighbour had made for them.

The day will be remembered by all their family and friends not as the day that Ireland won the Six Nations but the amazing day that Lisa and Declan got married!
