Darren and Siobhan are no ordinary couple!
I got to know the pair of them quite well as we had an engagement shoot earlier in the year and went to the amazing Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin. Darren and Siobhan are keen ice skaters and had been practising their lifts and showed me a few of their moves on the engagement shoot and I was well impressed!
They are together 2 years and Darren popped the question on their second anniversary. Darren made “Our Adventure Book” inspired by the movie “UP” that they both love. It was filled with pictures of the two of them and their adventure so far. At the end of the book, there was an engagement card, asking “Will you marry me?” and she said yes! So the wedding was influenced by this.
On the morning of the wedding, we visited Siobhan’s parents house which is in the countryside and got to see vintage tractors, sunflowers and geese! We then headed to the local Wicklow church planning to get some photos of Darren and his bestmen to find he had not yet arrived. When he did, he joked that he made it exactly on time!
After the lovely ceremony, we went to the Abbey Grounds for a few photos and Darren and the groomsmen were very athletic and managed to climb up on the old ruin window for a nice photo. We then headed on a scenic drive to Tulfarris, the view was so nice from their Maserati that we stopped off for a few photos in the Sally Gap.
At Tulfarris, while all the guests enjoyed chatting, we took a golf cart to the lake and had a few more epic photos there. Back in Tulfarris, we saw the amazing cake done by yes you guessed it Amazing Cakes!. The cake topper featured a groom lifting a bride, just like Siobhan and Darren.
On the tables were tasty home-made jams prepared by Siobhan, Darren and the bridal party. The whole day was perfect and as spontaneous and individual as my bride and groom.
