I am sure Oscar the resident wolfhound has seen quite a few couples over the years at Cabra Castle celebrate their wedding day! Oscar seemed to like their son Sean. The rest of us didn’t get a look in.
Elaine got ready in the gate lodge at Cabra. It was a great place for some before pictures by us. We had tine to see Elaine’s hairdo in the making. As a hairdresser herself, we knew it was gonna be good.
The two of them met through mutual friends in Secondary School and Brendan proposed at sunset in Barcelona. As a football fan I wonder was he also at a match there?
The whole day was so relaxed, even Sean their son seemed to just take everything in his stride. There seemed to be a burlap, shabby chic and button theme to the day. Collecting all those buttons for the tables must have taken a while.
We just adored the colourful flowers, they really stood out against the wedding dress and on the altar. We heard they were by House of Flowers in Mullingar.
The cake looked like fun to eat and quite yummy, chocolate biscuit, fruit and another layer of lemon drizzle. All tastes catered for….
They danced the night away to music by The Best Men and had a fab honeymoon to look forward to in New York and the Bahamas. The only downfall is that Lexi their dog wasn’t there. I don’t think Oscar would have liked it much if Lexi got an invite to Cabra!
